How does the reseller plan work? Top

When you become a Hostess Web Hosting reseller, you sell web space to your clients at whatever price you think is fair. Our discount to you is so generous that our resellers generally use our pricing structure when charging their clients. This plan makes you a full web hosting provider with minimal investment. Your clients will have the same confidence as if the services were coming directly from you.

How is billing handled? Top

You will be billed once a month for all domains and features listed on your account. You will then bill each of your clients directly.

Do you offer technical support for my clients? Top

Yes, through you. You will act as the first point of contact. Then, if you cannot answer your clients' questions yourself, we encourage you to e-mail us at support@hostess.com. We will then work with you to give you the answers to give your clients. That way your clients have confidence that they can always contact you with questions or concerns.

How is domain registration and the adding of domains handled? Top

We have a full members-only resellers section that allows you to fill out a form to add new accounts and submit the domain for setup on our servers.

How do I add features for my clients? Top

We're ready to help you every step of the way. Just drop us an e-mail at info@hostess.com or call us at 828-253-7882.

What if the monthly transfer is exceeded? Top

You will be notified ahead of time and allowed to contact your client to see if they would like to pay for the extra transfer. You will be charged at $0.10 per MB per month on all excess traffic.

Aren't we competing against each other? What if my clients find out I am reselling your services? What is to prevent them from moving to you? Top

Our resellers often provide something we can't - personalized, value-added services. Web hosting is actually a very low-margin business - it is the design and programming services that pay the bills. In addition, even though the Internet is a world-wide market, most people prefer to deal with someone who is local. By bundling Hostess Web Hosting with their own unique services and personal attention, resellers can offer clients a full spectrum of services.

What if one of my clients break your "acceptable usage policy" rules? Top

You are responsible for all actions of your clients. If one of your clients breaks the appropriate usage rules, you are responsible for stopping the behavior.
